What should I do if I receive this solar panel and find that it is not compatible with my portable power station?
First, please carefully confirm before placing an order whether your portable power station's solar input port is compatible with any of the adapters we provide (XT-60, Anderson, DC7909, DC5521, DC8020, DC35135, DC6530). If you're unsure, please consult with us beforehand. Additionally, if you receive the solar panel and find it incompatible with your portable power station, please let us know—we’ll help resolve the issue for you.
What is the difference between 210R solar cells and conventional solar cells?
210R solar cells feature an elongated rectangular design (182 × 210 mm), offering approximately 15.8% more cell area than conventional 182 × 182 mm square cells. This larger surface area provides greater flexibility in module design and helps maximize power generation potential. Combined with advanced cell technology, 210R cells support higher module power output and more efficient use of panel space.
Do solar panels require maintenance?
Yes, solar panels require maintenance. Dirt and stains can reduce sunlight conversion efficiency. Regularly clean the solar panels by gently wiping them with a damp cloth. Do not use corrosive liquids to clean the solar panels.
What does off-grid and on-grid mean ?
On-grid simply means solar power equipment (array or solar panel) is connected to the electrical grid, while off-grid refers to systems that are not connected to the grid and therefore store the generated power for later use.
Why does the actual output power of a 200 watt portable solar panel typically fall below 200W in real-world use?
The actual output power of a 200watt solar panel is typically lower than its rated power due to several factors:
Solar Irradiance: Rated power is measured under Standard Test Conditions (STC), which assume optimal conditions: 1000W/m² of sunlight, a panel temperature of 25°C, and direct sunlight. In real conditions, sunlight intensity is often lower due to cloud cover, time of day, or geographical factors, leading to reduced output.
Temperature: Solar panels lose efficiency as their temperature rises. High temperatures cause a decrease in output power, as most panels have a negative temperature coefficient, meaning their output decreases as the temperature increases.
Angle and Orientation: If the panel is not positioned to directly face the sun or at the optimal angle, it will receive less sunlight, resulting in lower output.
Panel Aging: Over time, solar panels degrade, and their efficiency decreases. Typically, panels retain around 87% of their original output after 30 years.
Shading: Even partial shading (from trees, buildings, etc.) can significantly reduce a panel's output, as it affects the entire panel's performance.
